The story of Elsie Marechal, a Norfolk woman who married a Belgian soldier during the First World War then went on to become part of the Comet Resistance movement with her daughter during the Second World War. Her bravery working on the Comet line, which helped downed airmen escape to safety, landed both mother and daughter in Ravensbruck Concentration Camp.
We are hoping to bring this amazing woman’s story to the public by Spring 2008.
With thanks to the Mousehold Press, Norwich and William Etherington who originally published Elsie’s story. Their co-operation on this project is very much appreciated.
